Calprotectin Stool Test
The Calprotectin Stool Test by CALPROTECTIN’ ALERT® is a simple home screening kit that helps detect raised levels of calprotectin in stool. Calprotectin is a protein linked to inflammation in the digestive tract.
Doctors often use this marker to help tell the difference between inflammatory bowel conditions and non-inflammatory digestive discomfort. Therefore, checking calprotectin levels may help you decide whether to seek further medical advice.
Results appear within 10 minutes after preparing the sample.
Why Calprotectin Levels Matter
Calprotectin comes from immune cells called neutrophils. When inflammation develops in the gut, these cells move into the intestinal lining and release calprotectin into the stool.
As a result, higher levels may indicate inflammation in the digestive system. For example, elevated readings can occur in conditions such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. However, this test does not diagnose disease. Instead, it serves as an early screening tool that may guide further discussion with a healthcare professional.

How This Home Calprotectin Test Works
First, collect a small stool sample using the paper strip provided. Next, place the sample into the dilution vial and shake it well to mix.
Then, add the recommended drops to the test device. After 10 minutes, check the result window.
A clear control line confirms that the test worked correctly. Do not read the result after 15 minutes.
