The formula features patented ButyraGen®, a tributyrin complex that provides a source of butyrate. It also contains Sunfiber® partially hydrolysed guar fibre and acacia fibre. How It Works
ButyraGen® Tributyrin
ButyraGen® provides tributyrin, a triglyceride containing three butyrate molecules. Digestive enzymes break tributyrin down to release butyrate.
Butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid that plays an important role in maintaining the health of the cells lining the colon. It also participates in intestinal barrier function, immune signalling and normal inflammatory regulation.
Using tributyrin provides a source of butyrate that does not depend entirely on an individual’s gut bacteria producing it from dietary fibre.
Sunfiber® and Acacia Fibre
Sunfiber® is a partially hydrolysed guar fibre that acts as a prebiotic. Acacia fibre provides an additional source of fermentable fibre.
Gut bacteria can ferment these fibres and produce short-chain fatty acids, including butyrate. This complements the tributyrin component and supports a healthy intestinal environment.

Directions
Adults and children 12 years and older: Take 1 capsule daily with or after food.
Swallow the capsule whole with at least 100 ml of water. Do not chew.
Bettergut® can be taken at any time of day.
