Biomax® Bio-Sulforaphane Advanced
Biomax® Bio-Sulforaphane Advanced is a science-based broccoli sprout formulation designed to provide a reliable source of bioavailable sulforaphane.
Each capsule contains 700 mg of concentrated 12:1 broccoli sprout powder, providing the equivalent of 8.4 g dried herb and standardised to yield 7 mg sulforaphane. In addition, each capsule provides 25 µg elemental selenium as selenomethionine.
Sulforaphane is a naturally occurring isothiocyanate formed when the enzyme myrosinase acts on glucoraphanin, a precursor found in broccoli sprouts. Therefore, maintaining enzyme activity is important for consistent sulforaphane formation.
The concentrated broccoli sprout powder remains enzyme-active. As a result, the formulation is designed to support more reliable conversion to sulforaphane than depending solely on variable intestinal microbial activity.
Meanwhile, selenium complements the formula by supporting normal antioxidant enzyme activity and cellular protection.
How Bio-Sulforaphane Advanced Works
Sulforaphane & Nrf2
Sulforaphane is well known for its interaction with the Nrf2 pathway, an important cellular signalling pathway involved in regulating antioxidant and detoxification enzymes.
When activated, Nrf2 influences the expression of genes involved in the body’s natural response to oxidative and environmental stress.
Therefore, sulforaphane supports endogenous antioxidant defences rather than acting only as a conventional antioxidant itself.
Enzyme-Active Broccoli Sprouts
Broccoli sprouts naturally contain glucoraphanin, while the enzyme myrosinase helps convert this precursor into sulforaphane.
However, conversion can vary when it depends solely on intestinal bacteria. For this reason, Bio-Sulforaphane Advanced uses an enzyme-active whole broccoli sprout concentrate and proprietary processing technology to deliver a standardised 7 mg sulforaphane per capsule.
Selenium Support
Each capsule also supplies 25 µg selenium as selenomethionine.
Selenium is an essential trace element and contributes to the normal function of several antioxidant enzymes. Together, selenium and sulforaphane provide complementary nutritional support for normal cellular antioxidant processes.

Directions
